IMMIGRATION LAWYERS

Finding a reputable immigration lawyer can be hard.   While we cannot endorse any one firm/lawyer over another, all have capable lawyers, who will deal with you ethically.  Initial consultations vary from $50 to $170.  Most will negotiate payment plans with clients not currently in a position to pay a lump sum.  Click here for a list of lawyers.

PUBLIC CHARGE UPDATE - WHAT ADVOCATES NEED TO KNOW

PAYING BOND

At the end of April, 2023, ICE announced the launch of CeBONDS.  This is a new system people can use to pay bonds and secure the release of immigrants held in immigration detention. The new system allows people paying the bond—"obligors" —to go through most of the process online, without having to make the payment at a local ICE office.

U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, law firms, and non-profit organizations can use CeBONDS to post a delivery bond, voluntary departure bond, or order of supervision bond. Noncitizens can also post a voluntary departure bond or order of supervision bond on their own behalf.

To post a bond online, click
