Although we do receive grants, most of CRCKY's income comes from generous donors.
Whenever possible, we try to help clients connect with preexisting services, but there are many occasions where the CRCKY may need to give limited emergency financial assistance. We pay rent and utilities for immigrant families who have at least one household member who is seriously ill. We also provide food to any Kentucky immigrant in need. If our client is local, we have volunteers deliver baby supplies as needed and food from God's Pantry and Trader Joe's. If clients live outside the Lexington area, we arrange for them to get food deliveries from Aldi or Kroger. Finally, we pay for consultations with a reputable immigration attorney when needed.
Paying for rent, utilities, food, and baby supplies is expensive and we are dependent on donors to fund our services. Our educational work also requires some financial assistance. Any donation, no matter how small, is helpful. Click on the donation button below to support our work.

HOW MUCH OF MY MONEY GOES TO HELP CLIENTS?

In 2022, more than 97% of the money donated to CRCKY went directly to client assistance. Here is what we do to keep our overhead cost low:
1. Our staff is mostly comprised of volunteers.
2. While we recently moved into our own office, we did so only after it became clear we needed it for clients programming. As a general principle, we think hard about where our funds should go and we don't waste money.
3. We frequently partner with other agencies to avoid duplicating services and unnecessary costs.

As a Kentucky nonprofit tax-exempt organization outlined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 84-2433939), every donation counts and we rely on the generosity of donors such as yourself to fund all our programs.

REGULAR MONTHLY DONATIONS ARE CRITICAL

Regular monthly donations - no matter the size of the monthly donation - are vital for the CRCKY. They enable us to have a monthly budget that we can depend on to meet our clients' needs. Please consider clicking on the button below and becoming a monthly donor.
